The area abounds in antique shops, where you can find inexpensive and common items right up to the unusual and distinct. You can visit museums such as the Billings Farm Museum for a glimpse of how life used to be or to watch artists at work blowing glass or making and decorating pottery at Simon Pearce's. Every season delights the visitor with a variety of activities. The fall foliage, of course, is a spectacular sight and in the winter, you can head for several down hill ski areas, including Killington, which is less than 30 minutes away. Trails for cross-country skiing, horse drawn sleigh rides and snowmobiling can be found nearby, as well. In the spring the area comes alive as the trees bloom and flowers blossom. You can bike or hike on the many trails. In the summer you can add canoeing, swimming and golfing to the line-up.

However, if you just want to relax and spend a leisurely day doing nothing, you can just stay at the Inn. You can sit outside on the front porch and read a good book while the world goes by or enjoy the hammock under the large shade tree beside the house. If you are looking for more privacy, you can sit on the back porch and view the trees and field in quiet solitude. When the weather keeps you in, you are free to explore the Inn, play games or enjoy some of the fine baked goods while they are still warm from the oven.
